Your grandmother was so very wise and she was able to look for the light in so many ways that many of us are not able to do when faced with darkness. You have carried on her legacy and I wish you a wonderful 2025 and thank you for sharing your beloved grandmother with us.
I always enjoy your posts. I am the daughter and granddaughter of Holocaust survivors. Never forget, stay strong and positive. Wishing that 2025 brings peace and that you continue to teach your grandmother’s lessons. May you only know good health, happiness, and much success in this new year.
I recently read your book and I really enjoyed it. I’m happy your grandmother escaped. I also had a relative who was in the camp. She died in auschwitz, she was from zvolen. She was also a seamstress. She was born in 1921 & died in 1943, according to yad vachem archives. I wish I knew more about her. I don’t even know why the rest of her family escaped. She and her father did not.

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment, and thank you for being her! I wish you so much light in 2025.
I enjoyed what you had to say. It was very comforting because you didn't shy away from the harshness of reality. Happy New Year.
It is a balancing act for sure!
